NGK customers enjoyed a fantastic motor racing experience when they attended Knockhill for the latest round of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC).

They were the guests of the ignition and sensor specialist and the Adrian Flux with Power Maxed Racing team at the  Scottish circuit.

The guests – who were hosted by NGK’s Scotland Sales Representative John Catterson – saw the country’s top drivers in action and also took part in a grid walk.

They witnessed Power Maxed Racing team drivers Jason Plato and Dan Lloyd compete in the BTCC which also featured NGK Ambassador Nic Hamilton, the brother of seven-time World Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton,  for Team HARD. Racing.

Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager, NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd, said: “The group had a great time at Knockhill which because of COVID was only our second hospitality event of the year. They particularly enjoyed the grid walk which was an unexpected surprise for them.”

Also competing at Knockhill was NGK-sponsored Max Coates who was in action for the Graves Motorsport team in the MINI CHALLENGE where he finished eighth and fourth in his two races.

He said: “I’d hoped the final race could have been a win with a strong starting position but that didn’t work out. We seemed to lack some speed in a straight line in comparison to the others and that made things difficult but the team are already working hard to rectify that. It was good to race at Knockhill again and see a massive crowd for the second time this year.”
