A new heavy-duty jump starter that combines both 12V and 24V systems all in one, has been launched by diagnostics manufacturer, TOPDON.

The V4000 HD allows technicians to move seamlessly between passenger vehicles and heavy-duty trucks without changing equipment. By combining true 12V and 24V jump-starting capability in a single unit, it helps workshops, fleets and roadside professionals save time on every job and reduce costs by investing in one versatile solution instead of multiple jump starters.

Built for intensive daily use, the V4000 HD delivers up to 4000A peak current at 12V and 3000A at 24V, providing the power needed to start petrol and diesel engines up to 16 litres. Designed to cater to cars, vans, trucks, buses, and heavy equipment, technicians can rely on the same tool throughout the working day.

At the core of the V4000 HD is a 64,000mAh LiFePO4 battery, chosen for its long service life, enhanced safety and consistent performance in demanding environments. The large capacity supports up to 60 jump starts on 12V vehicles and 30 on 24V, making it particularly well-suited to busy workshops and fleet operations where downtime is not an option.

“Technicians working across mixed vehicle fleets know the frustration well: different jump starters for cars and trucks, wasted time swapping equipment, and unnecessary expense tied up in multiple tools. The new V4000 HD heavy-duty jump starter is designed to solve that problem with one simple idea – one tool that handles both 12V and 24V systems,” commented Oscar Diaz, CEO of TOPDON Europe.

Safety and ease of use are central to the design. Seven built-in protection systems, including reverse polarity, over-current and over-temperature protection, allow technicians to work confidently, even in high-pressure roadside or workshop conditions.

To further reduce downtime, the V4000 HD features 65W USB-C PD fast charging, allowing the unit to fully recharge in around 3.5 hours. Beyond jump-starting, it also functions as a high-capacity power bank and includes a three-mode emergency light, adding practical value for jobsite and recovery work.
