Motul is proud to be a partner of Goodwood’s Revival meeting and heads to this year’s event with its most ambitious programme yet for this iconic event.
The Motul “Garage” shop will once again return in the Goodwood Revival High Steet area and will feature classic Ruf Porsches in its forecourt. The store will stock Motul Classic Lubricants and Motul’s popular retro merchandise range. Staff are on hand to help and advise on any lubrication matters throughout the Revival.
This year’s High Street presence will also be augmented by a BRM Racing Garage feature, which harks back to BRM’s legendary days of the 1960s, celebrating the fact that this year is the 60th Anniversary of BRM winning both the F1 Drivers and Manufacturers World titles. The BRM Garage area will also house a lounge for those signed up for Club Motul – the online portal that gives those access to exclusive dedicated Motul deals, advice, merchandise, competitions and events,
The Motul-BRM theme continues at the Revival as the first of the fabulous BRM V16 F1 continuation cars, a project which Motul has been involved with since its inception, will also feature at Goodwood, in the racing paddock area.
Motul is also offering free oil analysis at its vintage bus mobile laboratory, situated by the main paddock, where visitors’ oil samples can be analysed for a health check on their car’s engine or gearbox. Competitors can bring their samples directly to the mobile lab, but the service is available to all. The Motul High Street shop is the central point for event visitors to pick up and drop off their complimentary sampling kits, so that they can take oil samples at the event, once they arrive and take advantage of the free service, which has the potential to save those who use it both grief and money in the future!
The popular Motul Vagabond vintage truck is making a welcome re-appearance at the Revival and, as in previous years, Motul will have its complimentary coffee area in the paddock, where competitors or team members can take a break from the action, and, if they want, talk to Motul staff about advice on lubricants.
The competitors assembly area and circuit hoardings will again feature extensive Motul branding, while Motul is once more the presenting partner of one the Revival weekend’s feature races, the St Mary’s Trophy race for Classic Saloon cars. Lotus Cortinas, Mini Cooper S and Jaguar Mk2 saloons will mix it with BMW 1800s, Alfa Giulia GTAs and some mighty Americana. The driving line-ups, for the two-part race, includes some of the UK’s leading historic gentleman racers, more often than not teamed with top professionals ranging from touring car legends to Le Mans winners, F1 stars, IndyCar Champions and, this year, even NASCAR legend, six-time champion, Jimmie Johnson.
Motul’s relationship with Goodwood, however, extends further than its presence and profile at the Revival. It is a true working partnership, with the Goodwood fleet of working vehicles, including classic trucks and Land Rovers all running and being maintained on Motul products.
“Motul is proud that its partnership with Goodwood continues to go way beyond our presence at one of the UK’s Greatest Historic motoring events. That said, there really isn’t anything that compares with the Goodwood Revival! It truly is a unique blend of historic racing, pageantry and fun,” explains Motul UK Country Manager, Callum Goodland. “Motul has an incredible history and its expansion in the historic sector – both in terms of product portfolio and partnerships – is an important part of our plan to further extend Motul’s overall reach in the UK, both on two wheels and four.”
