Mintex-sponsored Lewis Brown has secured third place in the JCW MINI CHALLENGE Championships for 2021.

Brown dominated the final weekend of racing at Brands Hatch on 23rd and 24th October, kicking off race one from pole position after leading qualifying times on the circuit. The young driver achieved a lap record time to land his first pole in the series and secured six bonus points to close the gap on his competitors.

After taking two firsts in race one and two, Brown finished the last race of the season 7th, which meant he took home 3rd overall. The young driver commented: “Finishing the 2021 Championships in third place felt amazing. All the challenges, preparation, races and training were worth it.

“I’d like to say a special thanks to my incredible sponsors and for all of those who came out to support me. I’m ready to come back fighting in 2022!”

All cars in both the JCW and Cooper Classes of the MINI CHALLENGE Championships 2021 ran on Mintex racing brake pads and in the Copper Class, all cars used Mintex brake discs too for optimum performance and safety on circuit.

Brown is part of the LDR Performance Tuning team. His car featured Mintex branding and was fitted with Mintex brake pads and discs.

Richard Barton, Category Manager Mintex Racing, comments: “We’d like to congratulate and thank Lewis for a fantastic season. We’ve always seen the benefits of motor racing as a great proving ground for Mintex to demonstrates the brand’s superior performance in the harshest of driving conditions.”
