These courses are unique to our industry; developed over the last two-years’ by Andy Savva, The Garage Inspector. While visiting different types of garages, it became more apparent that many garage owners and their staff were very good at repairing vehicles, but just lacked general business skills.

Once completing the 1-day Marketing Essentials course you will be able to:

• Explain what marketing is and how it links to the growth strategy of your business, specifically in the automotive repair sector
• Identify the 4P’s of marketing approached by Kotler
• Identify the components of the marketing mix and extended marketing mix, and explain how marketing affects all areas of the business, specifically the automotive repair sector
• Use the marketing triangle as a logical and customer-centred approach to marketing your specific garage business.

Once completing the 1-day Customer Excellence course you will be able to:

• Explain the importance and understanding of customer excellence for both the business and the customer
• Have considered how they are perceived by your customers and have a plan of action to improve this
• Appreciate the importance of being customer-focused, and the benefits it brings to your garage business
• Spot the GAPs in service and change them
• Understand how you, the brand, affects customer service.

Once completing the 1-day Financial Understanding for the Garage Business you will be able to:

• Explain the impact on organisational finances and interpret key facts
• Understand financial terms and confidently discuss issues that affect the garage’s finance
